Rotary Opens Membership
(2:00-5:30 p.m. Saturday, 22 Aug 2020)
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
The District Membership Committee cordially invites you to the District Membership Forum scheduled to take place in the afternoon of 22 August 2020, Saturday, 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Hong Kong time. The Forum is free of charge. Please register for the Forum by clicking this link: https://rotary3450.org./?p=39754#en.
When you click on the above link, you will be directed to an information page where you can register for attending the Forum and also find all the details of the Forum's programme, including the topics, speakers and panelists of the sessions.
This year’s membership forum will focus on "Rise to Challenges and Open Opportunities." We hope that Rotarians can actively participate. Let us learn together, share valuable experiences in group discussions, and explore new opportunities hand in hand in a challenging environment.
For the very first time, our District Membership Forum will be conducted fully online. This is to cope with the social distancing restrictions which must be abided under the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Forum will start with a plenary session conducted on the Youtube platform during 2:00-3:00 p.m. This will be followed by six breakout sessions conducted by Zoom in two time slots, one during 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. and the other during 4:30-5:30 p.m. Each breakout session will be conducted in English in one of the two time slots and in Cantonese in the other time slot. For the first time, our District Membership Forum will have every breakout session offered in both English and Cantonese.
Topics of the breakout sessions include "the attractiveness of digital platforms", "the Virtual Rotary Exchange Program", "synergy between Rotary and Toastmasters", "why Rotaractors will turn into Rotarians", "the benefits of Satellite Clubs", and "how to grow membership organically". Apart from having Rotary and Rotaract Leaders of D3450 to be the Chairs and panelists of the breakout sessions, the Director of Toastmasters International District 89, Mr Wilson Yau will also join us at the breakout session to speak on the synergy between Rotary and Toastmasters.
An E-Poster of the Forum is attached. Every attendee of the Forum will also receive a nice back-pack as a souvenir after completing attendance of the breakout sessions. A picture of the souvenir is also attached.
The District Membership Committee looks forward to welcoming you at the Forum on 22 August 2020, Saturday.
Yours in Rotary,
PDG Kenneth Wong & PDG HW Fung
